Hunt turns eye-catching time
by Sheldon Shealer--StudentSportsFootball.com Staff

Talk about it in NIKE Football Training Camps & Combines
Torrance Hunt's 4.29 40 was so hard to believe that he was asked to run the event again.
Hunt obliged, and turned in an even faster 4.25 during Saturday's Baltimore NIKE Combine at M&T Bank (Ravens) Stadium in Maryland - the fastest time at any NIKE combine stop this year.
The 5-foot-7, 154-pound rising senior at Jordan High School in Durham, N.C., bettered the mark of Nygee Carmichael, a Gwynn Park (Md.) athlete who turned a 4.33 40 at the Charlotte NIKE Combine.
"It's exciting, I worked really hard on it," Hunt who ran a 4.41 at a previous Charlotte Nike Combine said. "I'm feeling like today is going to be a good day."
Hunt's performance, which resulted in a 111 SPARQ Rating, capped a day where two athletes scored above 120 in the SPARQ Rating and several athletes made names for themselves, including a few Canadians.
More than 1,200 athletes participated in the event on a warm day in Baltimore where temperatures reached the mid-80s under sunny skies.

The Top 40 vertical performances at the Baltimore NIKE Combine were all above 34.5 inches, including a 40-inch leap by Torrance Hunt of Jordan (N.C.). Torrance had the top vertical with a 40.1.
